Staffing Update:
Over the February break, Mrs. Charpentier and I learned of the retirement plans of two staff members.
Mr. Weldon, our physical education teacher, who recently celebrated a birthday, has announced his retirement, effective at the close of school this past Tuesday. Mr. Weldon joined our school community at the beginning of the year but has been a part of Pembroke Public Schools for the majority of his teaching career. We wish him all the best in his retirement. His position has been posted as a long-term substitute role, and we anticipate filling it in the next week or so after completing the interview process.
Additionally, Mr. Silva, our day custodian, has shared his intent to retire at the end of May. While it will be difficult to see Mr. Silva leave, we know he has earned his retirement, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. His dedication and contributions to our school community over the years have been invaluable, and he will be greatly missed.
