We are beyond amazed at the food and essentials donations collected this month for the Pembroke Firehouse Pantry.
The 6th-grade Ambassadors worked tirelessly to collect, sort, count, and organize all the items donated by each grade level.
The school-wide total is over 2,166 items donated! In addition, we received a generous monetary donation. We are so incredibly grateful for the generosity of our families.
The ambassadors loaded a school bus and delivered all the donations to the food pantry this morning. Our PTO sponsored the transportation driven by our beloved driver, Diane.
The students worked together to unpack the bus and stock the shelves. They had a tour of the pantry and learned more about the important work that the volunteers do to serve our community.
As the saying goes, many hands make light work. It was an amazing and moving experience to witness everyone working together for the common good. A huge thank you to all of our families for their generosity, and to Mrs. Snee, Mrs. Christmas and Mrs. Conn for helping our students coordinate the drive. It truly takes a village.
